PATEK PHILIPPE WORLD TIME CHRONOGRAPH 5930

Despite 2016 marking the 40th anniversary from the legendary Nautilus, 2010 Baselworld wasn’t the setting for Patek Philippe to unveil a brand new porthole-formed beauty-what we ended up getting only agreed to be as exciting. To date, it has been the entire year around the globe timer for that illustrious watch manufacturing company-and also the World Time Chronograph 5930 is an extremely special example.

Patek Philippe world-timers are very well noted for both their beauty and technical flair, what helps make the 5930 stick out may be the inclusion of the chronograph complication-something not observed in the brand’s stable since 1940. While using in-house calibre CH 28-520 HU, this exquisite watch features only one chronograph subdial-one minute counter above 6 o’clock-without any running seconds hands. A chronograph reset and flyback spend time at 4 o’clock.

Round the fringe of the dial, the timepiece informs time in 24 separate timezones. The present time is proven at 12 o’clock-to activate the planet timer, you just need to press a control button at 10 o’clock to alter the timezone location.

Just 12.8mm thick, the 5930 includes a beautiful blue guilloché dial inside an elegant white-colored gold situation. Slim and complicated, the piece features vintage-style lugs and dauphine hands.
